Use New, Double-Walled Boxes

Let us begin the packaging tips with paying attention to the quality of boxes one uses. Be careful if you opt to reuse old packaging. Cardboard boxes get easily damaged and lend much less protection if they are. Prior to shipping your package, you must feel comfortable that your product is secure and the box is sturdy. You must also remove or cover any old labels that are visible to make sure your package is sent to the correct destination.

Never Use Fabric or Cloth Bags

Similarly, like packing your product in a brand-new box, you need to avoid using fabric or cloth bags. Despite its attractiveness, they also do not provide protection or support to your product even if you pad the bags out with bubble wraps. Utilize a robust material to prevent leaving your contents at risk.

Use Bubble Wraps

No matter how small or big your parcel is, it is a wise idea to pad it out with lots of bubble wrap to add an extra layer of safety to your item(s). Cushioning the items will prevent them from moving around and prevent them from accidental damage. If your package has a fragile item, ensure it’s placed in the center, avoiding each of the four sides of the box.

Remember: If you do not follow the packing instructions recommended by the courier, they would not pay for any damage so make sure it is packaged up accordingly and follows the rules completely.

Parcel Tape, NO Sellotape

You should never use household sellotape to secure your parcel. Sellotape is good to seal small size packages but is not adequate for large packages being shipped abroad or across the country. When sealing your package with the help of 3M parcel tape you are certain that it will stay stuck. Using lower priced, the supermarket-owned tape will not seal your box properly no matter how many layers you provide.
